Paper Submission

Please read carefully all instructions below and in the abstract submission system before preparing your submission. The system allows later amendments to your submission, but these should be minor.

Contact in case of questions: games2016@easychair.org

Submission Deadline

February 15, 2016, 23h59 anywhere on Earth

Submission Format

A submission consists of:
– an abstract in plain text of up to 150 words
and
– a full text paper in PDF format with sufficient detail so that one can judge the substance of the contribution.

Only submissions written in English will be considered.
The front page of the full paper needs to contain the title, names and affiliations of the authors, and the abstract.

Submission System

All manuscript submissions will be handled on-line through the EasyChair conference management system. To submit a manuscript, an EasyChair account is required. To create an account in EasyChair, follow the URL:

To submit a manuscript, use the following link:

(You will be asked to first log in to the EasyChair system using your EasyChair account.)

The internet abstract submission system works best with Internet Explorer 7.0 or higher and Mozilla Firefox 3.0 or higher. Cookies and JavaScript need to be enabled.

Review Process

Submissions will be reviewed for acceptance. Accepted papers will be selected for a contributed talk of 25 minutes (including discussion/questions) in a parallel session, or else a poster presentation (entered into a queue in case talk slots become available).

No proceedings will be published. Papers that have been published or accepted for publication can be submitted to GAMES, as well as preliminary work with a clearly presented contribution. However, such submissions may require a higher standard of interest to be accepted, at the discretion of the program committee. All accepted talks and posters will have the abstract displayed on the congress website, and the paper in PDF unless requested otherwise. An accepted paper at GAMES does not represent a refereed publication, in particular where this would preclude submission as original work elsewhere.

General

Submissions can only be made online via the online management system EasyChair. Submissions by email or post will not be considered under any circumstances.

Every person can submit only one paper, and give only one presentation at the congress. Multiple submissions by co-authors require a separate participant for each entry.

In order to give a presentation, authors must register for the congress by the early registration deadline.

The same (or very similar) paper cannot be submitted simultaneously to ACM EC 2016 (which is co-located with GAMES 2016). However, participants are encouraged to submit a different paper to EC 2016, according to the instructions at www.sigecom.org/ec16.

Poster Format

Each poster needs to fit on the area of width 85 cm and height 100 cm.
In particular, a poster in A1 format (roughly 84 x 60 cm) nicely fits in both a portrait and landscape mode. Bring your printed posters with you.
Using multiple sheets to make a poster is fine, but a minimum size of a sheet is A3 (i.e., not A4). Choose appropriate font size, so that the posters can be read from some distance. Expodots for pinning the posters will be available.
