On Friday the 16th of January 2015 Maastricht University will celebrate its 39th anniversary, or Dies Natalis. During the official celebration, four outstanding individuals will be awarded with an honorary doctorate for the exceptional contributions they have made, directly or indirectly, to academic education and research.
Among them is Professor Wolfgang Wahlster who will be honored by Prof. Dr. Gerhard Weiss, chair of the Department of Knowledge Engineering. Professor Wahlster is regarded as an international figurehead in the field of knowledge-based systems and Artificial Intelligence which makes him a unique source of inspiration for the Department of Knowledge Engineering.
Before the start of the Dies Natalis, on the 16th of January from 12.00-13.00 Prof. Wahlster will give a lecture titled ‘Industrie 4.0: The Fourth Industrial Revolution Based on the Internet of Things’, location Zwingelput 4, room B.0.014.
