Jerry Spanakis (PhD, Assistant Professor) and Gerhard Weiss (PhD, Full Professor) work at the Department of Data Science and Knowledge Engineering in Maastricht University. Their expertise lies in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Data Mining. They are genuinely interested in using AI to understand concepts like harmony and balance in compositions and in life.
Adam Vandor joined the research team in September 2018 as an intern on the project. He is working on developing a machine learning module that automatically judges compositions as harmonic or not.
