About Mirela Popa

Mirela Popa is currently a Researcher in the ICT4Life project. Previously, she was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Intelligent and Interactive Systems Group of University of Innsbruck, Austria. Her research interests are in computer vision, machine learning and behaviour modelling and recognition. She earned her Ph.D. degree at the Technical University of Delft, the Netherlands, in 2013 on Multi-modal Assessment of Shopping Behaviour. She has contributed probabilistic representations useful at inferring human behaviour, inspired from language models.
