Till recently the Robotlab has mainly been used\u00a0 for student projects. Projects with robots offer students\u00a0 challenges they do not experience in other projects during their\u00a0 study. Especially working with real hardware and handling\u00a0 unreliable sensor information contribute to the challenges the\u00a0 students have to address.<\/p>\n<h2><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" alignright\" style=\"width: 162px;\" src=\"https:\/\/project.dke.maastrichtuniversity.nl\/robotlab\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/nao.png\" alt=\"nao\" width=\"189\" height=\"236\" border=\"0\" \/>Nao Robots<\/h2>\n<p>In 2009 the department of Data-science and Knowledge Engineering purchased four Nao robots. The Nao robots have initially been used for research projects of students doing a bachelor in Knowledge Engineering. Recently we started two PhD research projects, one on robot motion and one on robot vision.<\/p>\n<p>In 2014, the four Nao robots were replaced by one Nao 4 model and three Nao 5 models.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Amigobots<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/project.dke.maastrichtuniversity.nl\/robotlab\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/amigobot.jpg\" alt=\"amigobot\" width=\"160\" height=\"169\" \/><\/h2>\n<p>The Robotlab started in 2002 with four Amigobots.
